Rosemary Mtonga of Muzamu village, in Chief Magodi’s area, Lundazi is commending Women for Change over what it has done to her and many others in the village in uplifting their standards and giving them hope for the future.

Rosemary says, “Unlike many other organisations that have been to their area and cheating people and losing a lot of money in registration fees and other contributions without any benefits, Women for Change have come with practical steps to improve people’s lives in the area.”

Rosemary says Women for Change is supporting school children and her son Timothy is one of the beneficiaries.

“Before, organisations would come to us and tell us to pay registration fees and affiliation fees to groups in order to start working in income generating activities and find solutions for supporting school children but nothing was achieved.” She narrates.

Rosemary says since Women for Change came to the area, she has engaged in gardening as an income generating activity, which has enabled her to send her son to school at Chinkhamu Rocks Community School and has since joined the youth group in the area. These income-generating activities are helping several households in the area to send their children to school.

“Women for Change is the route to good life and living,” she recounts. It is a story that is desired for in many other villages across our nation, one that is transformational, develops people socially, economically and otherwise, and gives them a hope for the future.

Women for Change has only been in Lundazi for a little over a year now and positive stories are already coming out from the area. It is the hope of every stakeholder that this trend continues.

 Rosemary says she hopes her son continues going to school up to a high level to better his life and that of his family.
