WFC Networking

Why Network?

The essence of networking for Women for Change is to share resources and action strategies in working for gender equality and community empowerment. Networking allows Women for Change to stay in touch with what is happening locally, regionally and internationally and use the information and resources gathered in efforts to help the Zambian rural woman.

How?

Women for Change networks with a number of organisations wtin which it shares similar goals. Women for Change ensures that there are warm and cordial relationships with local NGO's for example, by assisting in running gender sensitisation workshops.

Women for Change networks with local and international NGOs, educational institutions, various levels of government, and other civil society, private and government organisations.
Local NGOs with whom WFC has strong relationships include: Zambia National Women's Lobby, Young Women’s Christian Association, Zambia Association for Research and Development (ZARD), NGO-Co-ordinating Council and Caritas, among others. WFC's networking extends to international NGOs such as SNV-Zambia, World Vision and Care International.

Additionally, WFC maintains strong networks of partners and donors. Partners are those international and local NGO's with whom WFC has signed a memorandum of co-operation on various activities. Donors are those that Women for Change may occasionally ask for one-time or specific limited duration funding.

Women For Change networks with these organisations by way of exchanging communication and information on various activities and linkages that Women For Change may also be involved in.

Women for Change publishes a newsletter, Women in Touch, three times a year with a circulation of 2000 copies primarily sent to stake holders.
